At what age should I start taking my children to the dentist?
We recommend bringing your kids in to see us as soon as they get their first tooth. This allows us to monitor the correct eruption and development of the dentition.
We like to see children early because this allows for optimum dental education for young patients from the start. The result is that children practice better oral hygiene and experience fewer dental problems in the future. Starting young also helps patients become comfortable at the dental office, resulting in less anxiety about going to the dentist as they grow up.
We love working with kids, and we will make sure your children have a great experience when they are here! Kids who go to the dentist regularly tend to become adults who also go to the dentist regularly and have much better oral habits and health.
Preventive care is crucial for kids, and we encourage parents to help brush and floss as soon as it is practical. This sets the stage for proper oral care at home.
We also offer additional preventive treatment options and solutions for our younger patients, such as fluoride treatments and dental sealants, which can help prevent cavities.
If you have any concerns about your child’s oral health or development, please don’t hesitate to ask us.
